Chloe and Marco started beneath the trees at Stanley Park. We made a few portraits, then let them walk across the lawn together.

Chloe’s veil and bouquet gave the photos a pre-wedding feel, but the moments I like most are the ones between poses.

As Chloe lifted her dress to cross the grass, Marco carried her bouquet. It’s the kind of little moment I look for between the portraits.

By the seawall, they walked beneath Lions Gate Bridge as a seaplane crossed overhead. I like that the setting is unmistakably Vancouver, yet they’re still just moving together.

There’s also a small “Mr & Mrs” card in the later frames. It’s one personal detail among all that open space.
